Wendy's bush tours on the telly
Wendy's nocturnal bush tours, VisionWalks, is fast becoming one of the leading tourist attractions in New South Wales. Her tours, based in Byron Bay, take you on a guided walk through the Australian bush to view the local wildlife. Because 90% of Aussie mammal life is nocturnal, the best way to see them is by night. Many companies conduct tours by flashlight, but this has the distinct problem of scaring the animals. Wendy, a former bush ranger, runs animal-friendly tours into the depths of the bush using night vision goggles and infra-red lights.
