The War on Terror Trees

Police moved in today on a horde of suspicious-looking Platanus × hispanica which were under observation on London's Whitehall today. The trees were destroyed under the Terrorism Act 2000, as they constituted a threat to security, and breached the The Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (Designated Area) Order 2005 which bans the growth of dangerous trees in the vicinity of Downing Street.
